I have been trying to get people to stop “Tweeting” (Christ!) and have intelligent, uncensored adult-level discussions here. But people seem to prefer to “Tweet” – and spend their time helping Leftists make money off of them. It makes me regret having spent the money to add this feature to the site…

The Forum seemed like a fine idea. I thought it needed some content in order to get the ball rolling, but in short order, with a few exceptions, I felt a bit like I was talking to the wind.

I still think something like a colorful symbol of say, the Firebird as a logo & link in the top right-hand corner of your main webpage would have helped. And, maybe some kind of advertising? I don’t know. Got no experience in these sorta things.
I saw how Doug and Stacy tried giving away some of their money on their Youtube channel & ran afoul of some goobermint rules & regs, so even some kind of giveaway or prizes would likely be a nail in a sidewall?

The acronym w.i.f.me comes to mind (What’s In It For Me) regarding getting people to use the Forum. I started thinking: ya gotta be able to post videos, funny .gif sheet & such like, but them you’d just be mimicking the Twitter and that doesn’t seem to be want you wanted to create.

…Maybe the Forum just isn’t that sthmart-phone friendly? That’s what most people use to surf the net these days, I guess. Again, I don’t know.

Anyway, RE: “It makes me regret having spent the money to…”

I have A Lot of those, too. More-so, lately. The hardest part is trying to choose between either: find ways to turn things around, or salvage what’s left, or (The Worst) just walk away & chalk it up to a lesson learned.

My latest was buying Dyna-Glo kerosene heaters & then compounding the mistake by buying a bunch of wicks for them. Turns out, the Dyna-Glo’s are The cheapest pieces of crap heaters a person can buy. The ones I had wouldn’t shut off completely (like it’s built-in flaw/feature) & I wound up stripping one for screws & spare parts for the other that would at least shut off if you blew it out. It’s now my last resort/give away heater & I’m not sure it’s even worth the space it takes up in storage. …Too bad websites don’t at least have screws to repurpose.
